"You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul."
George Bernard Shaw
Our newest collection is inspired by French painter Henri-Edmond Delacroix. Not only did he paint what he saw but he expressed how he felt about it creating masterpieces one stroke at a time. His paintings often leave you in a state of serenity and appreciation for nature - exactly what we want to evoke with our new collection.
One of our favorite pieces, Valley with Fir (Shades On A Mountain) we can see Delacroix capture what's presumably a hot, sunny day on a mountain onto the canvas in an extremely expressive way. His bright color palette helps us see his passion for nature and the life it gives. The many short brushstrokes are parallelled with the individual flowers flying in the wind. From observing this painting, we immediately feel more serene and appreciative of the natural world.
Here is a hoodie we designed evoking the same vibe:
Inspired by the same concept, we designed a t-shirt inspired by his time in Venice
