This week we caught up with rising Instagram star @lovesimplydave to get his view on life and fashion.
What does a typical day of your week look like?
A typical day in my week consists of a quick workout, sending and receiving emails, staying active with my Instagram audience, preparing for a shoot and/or shooting content for a brand, listening to music at all times throughout the day. Staying positive.
What inspires you to keep going?
My parents and family along with the passion to create keep me going. I think about the hard work and trials they’ve been through and it pushes me to keep going. And I just want to make my family proud and for my art to be appreciated.
What has been the biggest challenge for you so far?
My biggest challenge has been believing in myself which I feel I have overcome. I would find myself questioning too many things instead of letting my visions come to life.
What advice do you have for others who hope to become influencers?
My advice for hopeful influencers would be to believe in yourself, find something that makes you stand out or unique, remain consistent. Consistency is one of the most important things and it is not easy when you are balancing a lot in life. You must believe in yourself before you expect a brand to believe in you.
Where do you see the future of streetwear?
As far as the future of streetwear, I honestly see more of a rise in the smaller brands along with continued growth amongst the mainstream streetwear brands like Adidas, Supreme, etc. But smaller brands are finding more and more ways to keep up with current styles while also providing their own unique features. More and more people are becoming more comfortable and eager to buy from smaller and designer brands. Brands partnering with influencers is also starting to become more popular which helps with exposure.
